Wood Species
Being a natural process, no two pieces of wood are alike. Differences in open and closed grains and color variations create the exquisite beauty and elegance of hardwoods. Wood stains exaggerate these and other markings such as mineral and sugar deposits, pinholes, wormholes, bird’s eye dots, knots and even sap. As it ages, hardwood darkens when exposed to light. All of these natural traits make wood cabinetry elegant and contribute to its timeless, enduring beauty. |

Alder
Alder is a soft density hardwood known for fine grain and even texture. Its color ranges from light brown or yellow to a pale red or even a reddish tinge.. Some small tight knots and sapwood can be found in standard Alder. A soft wood, care must be taken to avoid damage, but Alder does not darken when exposed to light and it takes stains and finishes well to enhance Alder’s natural beauty.

Maple |
Maple is a hard density hardwood with even, fine graining compared to other wood species,. Markings may include fine brown lines, wavy or curly graining, bird's eye dots and mineral streaks. Normally off-white in color, it can contain light hues of yellow-brown to pink or occasional reddish-brown tones. Natural mineral and/or sugar streaks are common in maple and are particularly noticeable in lighter stains. Maple darkens when stained which lends to Maple’s lasting popularity in cabinetry

Cherry |
Cherry is a sophisticated, multi-colored hardwood known for its even grain and warm, rich look. Wide color variations are common and may include small gum pockets, streaks, and pin knots. Its natural color variations include a pinkish-brown hue with occasional shades of white, green, pink or even gray. Natural or light stains accent these color variations. Cherry will darken or “mellow” with age which is a natural occurrence. This sought-after quality enhances the timeless elegance of Cherry cabinetry.

Solid Colors |
Solid color finishes include tinted varnishes with or without glaze. Solid color is susceptible to wear and will more easily show nicks, dents, chips and rub-throughs especially on sharp corners and edges.

Distressed |
Distressed finishes duplicate wear and tear seen on priceless antique furniture. Characteristic are round or burnished edges, chain distressing, open knots, worm holes and/or paint splattering depending on the desired finish.

European |
European is more than a style, it is a entire design approach. This high tech, high gloss modern look provides a crisp, uncluttered, no-
nonsense feel to any space. Its flat panel, utilitarian, frameless construction lends itself to stark black, gray and white to bold, strong brilliant orange, red, and blue colors.

Thermofoil |

Thermofoil doors are made of a vinyl (PVC plastic) foil in a membrane press combining extreme heat, air pressure and vacuum in
conjunction with silicone to laminate the vinyl film on particleboard or medium density fiberboard (MDF). Although not
all wood, the thermofoil system results in a durable surqace which is easy to clean and maintain. They are scratch resistant and come
in white or almond which do not require painting.

Glazing |
An optional, but highly desirable hand-crafted finishing process creates subtle yet dramatic contrast to heighten the natural luster of
your fine wood cabinetry. The addition of Glaze adds depth to standard finishes giving greater definition and enhancing the beauty of
any cabinet. Glazing is applied by hand-brushing and then carefully wiped off. The glaze collects in varying coverage in corners,
groves and across natural grain voids to highlight the door style and moulding details. Pictures can’t do justice to glaze finishes. Stop
by our showroom to see, touch, and feel before ordering.
